About us

Our Story

Originating as a cat rescue operation, we dedicated ourselves to providing a second chance for shelter cats through our Cat Lounge in American Fork. This unique space allowed guests to bond with free-roaming felines, offering treats, toys, catnip, brushes, and more, with every cat eagerly awaiting adoption.

As we evolved, our services expanded to include vaccinations, microchips, and deworming, aimed at empowering pet owners to prevent costly treatments and diseases. Now, we are embarking on our most ambitious journey yet: transitioning to provide spay/neuter services. We firmly believe that this is the ultimate strategy to reduce the influx of animals into shelters and, consequently, save more lives.

Our mission is multifaceted: to offer affordable spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchips, and to provide invaluable resources to our community. This vision is brought to life through the generous grants we receive and unwavering community support. Our commitment is to extend as much help as possible at the most affordable prices.

We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with you to effect meaningful change in Utah County. Together, we can make a substantial difference in the lives of pets and their families.

Our journey

The year we opened

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we successfully launched Cuddles Cat Lounge, a sanctuary where rescue cats and cat lovers could unite. Guests could pay an entry fee to mingle, play, and form bonds with a host of adoptable felines, all of whom were from shelters. Remarkably, some of our furry companions embarked on a journey all the way from Texas to become a part of our vibrant community. This initiative not only provided a comforting escape for people but also offered a second chance at life for countless cats in need.

Created the goal to start spay/neuter clinic

Shortly after our opening, it became apparent that Utah County was in dire need of additional spay/neuter services, with the majority of resources concentrated in Salt Lake County. Recognizing the strain this imbalance placed on our local shelters, we were motivated to devise a plan aimed at increasing access to spay/neuter procedures for pets in Utah County. Our initiative was driven by the goal of alleviating the burden on our shelters and contributing to the health and well-being of the animal population in our community.

Started offering low cost vaccinations

Thanks to the generous support from Petco Love, we acquired essential vaccines, enabling us to commence offering basic vaccination services for cats and dogs. This initiative has significantly expanded our ability to protect the health of these beloved animals. Building on this success, we then forged partnerships with veterinary professionals, further enhancing our services to include rabies vaccinations. This collaboration not only broadens our impact but also strengthens our commitment to the well-being of pets in our community.

Partnered with others to offer spay/neuter

Although we were not in a position to directly provide spay/neuter services, we established a collaborative effort with Nuzzles and Co, along with other affordable service providers, to facilitate these essential surgeries. To streamline this process, pet owners in Utah County would gather at our facility, from where we would transport their pets to the designated spay/neuter clinics. This initiative significantly alleviated the burden on local pet owners by eliminating the need for them to navigate the lengthy commute to Park City or Salt Lake County. After the procedures, we ensured a smooth reunion by arranging for owners to pick up their pets back in Utah County. Our service not only made spay/neuter surgeries more accessible but also contributed to reducing the overall stress for owners within our community.

The year we open our own spay/neuter clinic

We are thrilled to share that we are on the brink of launching a low-cost spay/neuter facility in Utah County, moving even closer to opening our doors to the community. This milestone has been made possible by the generous support of Petco Love, which has enabled us to purchase nearly all the medical equipment required to kickstart our operations. Currently, our efforts are focused on locating the ideal premises to offer these critical services. In the meantime, keep an eye out for upcoming pop-up spay/neuter clinics throughout our community. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to work towards making affordable pet care services accessible to all.
